For more then a century Animal Crackers have been sold in their iconic red box with the animals in cages. In 2016 PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) started to put pressure on Nabisco to let the animals be free. In 2018 Nabisco relented and uncaged the animals. Up for bid are 2 Animal Crackers boxes (unopen). The red box is a discontinued version of the Animal Crackers box with the animals still behind bars. This box comes to you unopen with a "best when used by Nov 2018. The second box is a Limited Edition box issued during the winter holiday season featuring 2 polar bears in a snow globe. Like the red box in this set this holiday box is unopen and has a "best when used by date of May 2019. Both boxes are in excellent to new condition.
