Antique, striking, uniquely styled hair ring from the country of Niger and attributed to the Taurig tribe
Traditionally worn as a hair or finger ring or as a pendant on a necklace
Large chunk of metal twisted into a simple shape
It’s hard to measure the size if worn as a ring, because the inside is not smooth, it only goes down the ring mandrel to about a size 7 but slips on my finger easily and most of my rings are an 8 1/2 or even 9
Its not solid in back, there is a slight open seam
Made of brass with possibly silver, it has a silver color, sometimes this metal is referred to as “German Silver”
