Gordon's Cookies "Good to Eat" Plastic Show Box Display Metal Lid & Base RARE

Description

In fairly decent condition. Metal lid still show red but is rusted and well worn, a little bent out of shape, but fits on the top of the plastic tube especially with a little, but not too much help. The metal base is also in good condition for the age, not too rusted at all. On the bottom, one sees SHOW BOX, St. Louis. Plastic in-between has a tear at the top in one place that is about an inch long from the top -- It is two sided designed -- identical on each side -- with Gordon's Gordon's Trucks Serving the Best  Cookies 'Good to Eat' Red White and yellow lettering and design on the clear plastic which also has red diamond pattern. On another side is the ingredients and all of the kinds of cookies -- and it states: "PROPERTY Of Gordon Foods Div. Sunshine Biscuits, Inc. On the other side is the identical 'Property of' but the ingredients are only one one side. The plastic at the bottom is mostly connected but is disconnected partially from the metal base piece. Have tried to reconnect it, but do not wish to work too hard because scared I'll break the plastic at the bottom. This is an OLD piece, in decent condition, a little dirty -- but needs to be handled with care -- will let the new owner do that. Will have to be double boxed to save it from from being destroyed by shipping companies. It will be protected to the best of one's ability.  12.1 inches tall. Almost 11 inches round (lid)
