    Description

This is a Kenwood model # TM-241A Ham Radio VHF FM 2-Meter band Transceiver, from a local Amateur Radio operator's Estate sale. The TM-241A receiver can receive from 118-174 MHz. The transmitter is rated for 50-Watts power output on high power, from 144-148 MHz (can be enabled for out-of-band operation for MARS, CAP, etc.) Built-in CTCSS encoder, scanning, memories, selectable LO/MID/HI transmit power, transmit offsets/simplex, call channel and other features.
At a local two-way radio shop, I connected this TM-241 to a +13.8V DC power supply, and tested it using an IFR-1200 Service Monitor. The Receiver was very sensitive (0.2 uV was a very good signal,) but the transmitter only indicated about 0.5-watts of power into the service monitor's dummy load/wattmeter. The Transmitter showed just the low power output, regardless of the power level front-panel button. But it does not appear to be transmitting on the same frequency as the receiver - no audio was heard on the Service Monitor, so I don't know what frequency that 1/2 watt of indicated transmit power was occuring. So because of no transmit,
this TM-241A Transceiver is being sold under eBay's condition grading of "For parts or not working" and no returns are accepted.
The microphone is included, and a very short DC power cable is connected, but there is no mobile mounting bracket; instruction manual or any optional accessories. The manual is available for free on-line download.

Shipping will be via FedEx, and the shipping charges will be .85 to CONUS ONLY locations, based on other radios of similar size and weight that I've recently shipped.
Any International sales must use eBay's Global Shipping Program service, where I ship the units to their forwarding center in Kentucky, and eBay takes care of the necessary customs, etc. paperwork, and then they ship onward to the winning bidder. No Direct Overseas Sales!
Because of the shipping arrangements that are done out-of-state, I am not able to combine shipment of multiple items. I ship via FedEx within five days of auction end and receipt of payment. By the time the item is put up for auction, it has already been packed for shipping.
Please understand that once I've dropped off an item to be shipped at FedEx, I have no further control of when it will actually arrive at your location. Occasionally, the shipping company routes the package through some far, out-of-the-way locations which can greatly delay the shipping time, compared to what eBay quotes for delivery times.
Please see my other auction listings for additional Amateur Radio transceivers, accessories and Electronic items.
    Thanks for looking!
