    Description

    Pictured here at auction is a working Kenwood TS-820S, 160-10 meter SSB and CW, transceiver for the regular (non-WARC) amateur/ham bands. This rig has a replacement pair of NOS GE 6146B finals that easily generate up to 100 watts out to a 50-ohm dummy load. I made a few phone contacts with it on 80 (our Iowa net on 3970) and 20 meters (to a parks-on-the-air station) and received very good reports.  Audio on receive is good too. It does NOT have the optional CW filter.
    I tested it on all bands both in receive and tune. The pilot lamps over the s-meter have been replaced with nos lamps and now light. The power cord is original. The VFO shorting plug is one that I make using a 3-D printer.
    The DG-1 is in working condition.
    Cosmetically, the cover and bezel show only minor typical scratches as well as some oxidation (clearly shown in one of the photos). The carrying handle has a small frayed area but still very sturdy.
    There is no microphone nor manual included. Manuals can be downloaded from several sources for free on-line. It does include the original power cord.
