If you like tugboats, you will love this wonderful hardback book titled, "Pacific Tugboats" by authors, Gordon Newell and Joe Williamson. It is a First Edition book, published in 1957, and offers fifty years of nostalgic drama of tugboat operations on Pacific waters. Inside are accounts of famous tugs, famous tows, famous captains, tales and adventures, as well as several historical black and white photographs from Joe Williamson's own marine collection. The book is approximately 8 1/2" by 11" and contains 191 pages; for example, "Then, suddenly and quite without warning, the ship yawed wildly from her course, falling off before the wind to wallow sickeningly in the trough of the seas. The quartermaster on watch spun the wheel hard over, but there was no response....the storm was getting worse". This is written so well, that the reader keeps flipping pages to find out what happens next. The jacket of this book has a lot of wear so I would consider condition as fair, and the book has some aging on the inside of the covers, but overall it is in good/very good condition.
