VINTAGE 1940s LITTLE BO PEEP CHILDS WARMING DISH w CATALIN HANDLES PAT. PEND

Description

There are several variations of this old / antique / vintage "LITTLE BO PEEP" child's or baby food warming dish, but I believe that this is the earliest version. The underside or bottom is marked:"EXCELLO...PAT. PEND." Also, the side handles and screw on top are trimmed with "Bakelite" or "Catalin." The bowl is made of ceramic and the outer shell appears to be stainless steel. There is a rubber pad on the bottom. The bowl measures 8 inches wide (10 & 1/2 inches if you include the handles.) The condition is VERY GOOD. There are NO chips or cracks to the ceramic part, but there is "crazing" in the surface glaze. The rubber pad on the underside, is starting to crack, but as a whole the dish displays beautifully. It is not dated, but was probably made in the 1930's or 1940's - give or take. It is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back.
