This set of child's dishes caught my eye immediately!  So well made and colorful and who does not love the circus theme?  It has 23 pieces.  Two of them have slight damage but I did not take them out of the set because both are hard to find pieces in a set.  They are the covered soup tureen and the square dish.  Please read below all the measurements and condition details.  The set is marked GERMANY on most of the pieces in brown but I ran out of picture space and thought it was preferable to put pictures of the dishes on here.  They are white porcelain and there is a nice embossed or raised pattern on all the pieces.  Check out the details and pictures. Assume all pieces to be free of any chips or cracks or other damage unless noted in the details below. Those notations are in red.  Regarding shipping:  This will need to be in a large box or two smaller boxes.  We have estimated the size and weight of one box and it would be an oversized box.  If putting it in two boxes is the best rate we will do that and refund any shipping costs overcharged at check out.  If you need more information we will be glad to respond!
TWO PART HANDLED DISH:  No idea what this was for?  It is 4½ inches by 2½ inches and it has a little handle in the center that is 7/8 of an inch tall.  Decals are a beach ball and cone hat.  Note that the beach ball is partially gone - this happens when the decal does not get well pressed down and it causes part to burn off during firing.
SQUARE SERVING DISH:  This dish is 4 5/8 inches square.
It has a sliver of the porcelain off on the bottom inside edge.  You can find it readily feeling of the bottom edge but we elected to go ahead and include it in the set because you rarely see this piece.
The decal is wonderful with a little clown figure and two poodles doing tricks.  Around the main decal are small ones of three clowns and a cone hat.
TWO SAUCERS AND ONE CUP:  The two saucers have small decals.  There are a couple of small black dots fired into the glaze but they are original.  One saucer has cone hats and the other one has cone hats and a small elf like figure that is repeated on the cup.  The other side of the cup has a donkey with a dog on its back.  The saucers are 4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a top diameter of 2 inches.
SAUCE OR GRAVY BOAT ATTACHED UNDERPLATE:  This piece has a decal on the one side that is a figure doing a hand stand and a dog on either side as if they are assisting.  There is a bare spot in the center - another space caused by the decal having a bubble and burning off during firing.  On the back side is a horse.  On the pour spout end is an elf like character which is repeated on the plate right below it.  The other end of the attached plate has a beach ball.  It is about 7 inches long overall and 3½ inches wide.  It is 2¾ inches tall on the sides of the sauce boat and a bit taller at the pour spout.
SOUP TUREEN WITH COVER:
This is one of the damaged pieces and you can see that damage in picture #10.  It is near the end of the top rim by the handle.  You can see it readily with the lid off but with the lid in place, you cannot see it unless you bend over and look up and then it is hard to see because it is all white.
If you have the decal with the horse and dog on the front, this is on the left side.  On either side of that decal is a clown and the elf.  On the other side is the decal with the clown and two poodles with a smaller clown decal on each side.  The lid has the opening for a ladle but there is no ladle.  There are 5 of the smaller decals on the top of the lid.
SHALLOW SOUP PLATES:  There are 5 of these.  The center decal with pigs pulling a chariot is on two of them and the decal with a bowing horse is on the other three.  All 5 have smaller decals around the outside edge that seem to have just been randomly used including clown heads, horse heads, beach balls, cone hats, and elves.  They are 6 inches in diameter and 1½ inches deep.
DINNER PLATES:  There are 5 of these.  The center decals on two of them are the pigs pulling the chariot and on the other three is a clown having two poodles jump over a stanchion.  All of these plates also have various ones of the small decals including clown heads, beach balls, cone hats etc.  They are 6 inches in diameter.
LUNCHEON PLATE:  There are 5 of these.  There are three different center decals on these.  One has the acrobat doing a handstand with a dog on each side like they are assisting.  Two of them had an elephant on a stand with the little elf like figure beside him.  Two of them had the donkey with dog on its back.  Again there are varying small decals around the outside edges.  They are 5¼ inches in diameter.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE SALE
You will receive an invoice as soon as possible after the listing closes giving you all the information you need to make a payment.  Effective October 20, 2008, we accept ONLY PAYPAL as our method of payment.  We ship the best method available and in some cases will offer a choice.  We ship MOST items by Priority Mail.  Textiles may ship First Class if the weight is under 13 oz.  If you buy more than one piece and the weight goes over 13 oz, priority mail is used.  Your invoice will tell you what methods of shipping available.  Your item will be packed and shipped with care and we will try to keep the cost as low as possible without jeopardizing your item’s safety.  Insurance is included in the shipping price and delivery confirmation is provided free of charge.
LARGE ITEMS AND COMBINED SHIPPING:
The newest postage regulations are going to make shipping large items and combining items challenging but we are going to try to streamline it for our customers.  Any package over 1 cubic foot may be subject to higher postage depending on the zone to which they are shipped and the size.  We live in Zone 4 and if we are shipping to Zone 4, this is not much of an issue.   We will use available tools from eBay and USPS to figure this on each invoice.  Our intent is to charge actual shipping so if the estimated amount is more than the actual charge when the item is shipped, a refund will be issued to the buyer.
We will combine successful auctions for shipping purposes unless the items are too numerous or large to put in one box safely.  Again, larger boxes can cause shipping to go higher and there may be times when it is cheaper to ship multiple large items in their own box rather than trying to combine them in one large box.  We will use the option most beneficial to the customer.
If you are buying one item, the postage should be figured and entered so you do not have to wait for our invoice if you prefer to pay for it quickly.  If you need items combined, you should wait for our invoice which will have shipping figured at the most economical level.  Occasionally, someone will just pay all the shipping costs without asking for a combined amount.  If you choose to do that, we will refund any overage that has been paid by a Paypal refund.
Also note
that textiles may be shipped in padded envelopes but in some cases, based on weight and thickness, that envelope may be treated by the post office as a package and therefore the postage will be more expensive because it does not meet the requirements for a flat envelope.  Again, we will try to pack it the most economical way for the buyer but we have no control over USPS rules or rates.
