Item description
This is a 2 item kit which you can see in the product photos.
The kit includes:
Galvanically Isolated Ham Radio USB Sound Card which interfaces to your transceiver giving you access to digital modes such as PSK31, WSJT-X, JT65, FT-8,  Echolink and any other AFSK mode. It simply plugs into a free USB port on your PC and to the data/packet port of your transceiver.
USB CAT interface allowing you to fully utilise your Digimode software giving you the full CAT frequency and mode control. The cable uses the highly reliable FTDI chipset.
The USB Sound Card Interface contains the C-Media 108 soundcard chip and has full 600:600 Ohm transformer isolation of the transmit and receive signals. Being an independent sound card, it gives you dedicated audio level controls to adjust the transmit and receive levels for your chosen digital mode software. This frees up the standard PC sound inputs/outputs for normal PC use.
The USB CAT cable used the FTDI chipset and plugs into the CAT port on your radio. It is fitted with the unique recessed 3.5mm jack that is needed for the X5105.

: You will need 2 free USB ports or a USB hub on your PC to utilise this kit.

The interface does have an isolated VOX operated PTT but as you also have the USB CAT cable, you can choose to PTT over the CAT commands if you prefer.
Plug and Play
. No additional cables required. Plugs into your PC on 2 free USB ports . At the transceiver, connects to the packet/data port and CAT control jack.

For the Digimode Interface
Plug USB plug into a spare port on your PC. Most operating systems have the C-Media CM108 drivers already installed.
Plug Din plug into packet/data/accessory port on your transceiver.
Run up your favourite Digimode software and configure it to send and receive audio via the new USB Soundcard.
You can use the dedicated Windows sound level sliders for line-out and record-in to optimize the drive levels to your transceiver and in receive
Transmit audio is on the Right audio channel
Make sure you keep your transmitter out of ALC for optimum PSK31 operation. Keeping your output stage nice and linear is the name of the game when working digital modes.
For the USB CAT Interface
Plug USB plug into a spare port on your PC. Download the FTDI drivers and see which comm port it picks up in Windows device manager. Make a note of this.
Plug CAT plug into the CAT port of your transceiver.
Run up your favourite CAT control program such as Ham Radio Deluxe. Set CAT software to use the comm port you noted from the driver installation section.
Set the CAT software radio type and baud rate to match those set in your transceiver. Xiegu transceiver emulate the Icom IC-7000 CAT protocol.

Shipping Policy and expected delivery times
We are based in The UK and use UK Royal Mail Small Packets for all shipments. Our order processing time is no longer than 2 days. The postal service used does not come with any tracking but is generally highly reliable. International shipments are highly dependant on customs delays, holiday periods and local postal services and so can take anywhere from 5 to 23 business days once shipped. If there is no arrival at 28 days, please contact me so we can resolve the issue and re-ship if required.
Warrantee Terms
All of my products come with a full 30 day satisfaction guarantee and 12 Month warrantee against material failure. If you are unhappy with the product for whatever reason within the first 30 days, I will offer you a full refund of monies paid as long as the interface is returned to me in "As New" condition. In the unlikely event of the product failing in the first 12 months, ship it back to me and we will check and repair the item and send it back to you as new.
