  • Condition: Has some scratches and Paint wear.. on the back rear of the top of the radio where the screw goes in the head of that screw is snapped off and the the thread of the screw is in the case, so you cant put another screw there unless you get the screw body out. Which is no big deal as there is plenty that hold the case down, but just want to point that out. It didnt want to come out because there is rust underneath of the cover in that area. Just on the cover, the boards and electronics are in great shape. The button that holds the face plate on lost its spring tension. It still works if you manually slide it back and forth. The screen has horizontal lines through it. You can still see the frequency etc but just want to point out the head has the line problem..

    Description

    I have a Yaesu FT-857 up for sale. This is not the D model but has the Dsp Board so it is basically close to the D model. This radio is a tech special because it needs work. I did some testing and the head unit has the line problem so it makes the upper half of the screen harder to see.. Transmit wise it seemed to transmit fine and power output seemed good on all the bands. On HF it seemed like the receive was down some. I did have no problem talking with people on it and made contacts etc but imo it does seem lower. The 2m and 440 bands seem to be ok on transmit and receive. Now this is what I found out from my testing. Just in case I missed something and I try my best not too, please remember there could be other stuff that I don't notice etc. I do my best so the buyer has an idea on what needs to be fixed.. Included with the radio is the original box, microphone, power cord, mobile bracket, screws and fuses etc.. Selling As-Is but guaranteed to be as I explained.
